Explanation of outage + backup restored

The server ran out of disk space (inodes). A backup has been restored from earlier today. (Apr 5th, 10 AM UTC). The forums were offline for about 1 hour.

Note: There were a few posts lost due to this. However, I’m upgrading the server’s storage space now to avoid this from happening again.

As this is a new addition to the domain, there are a few bugs and learning experiences to be had.

Thankfully, there are backups in place which are also now set to backup hourly at least for the first 3 months.

I’m incredibly sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I learned my lesson back when I had a forum. I ran into issues like this but I didn’t have the backups properly set up and I lost so many posts and user activity. I was devastated. It was only a few months after I bought the forum as well. Glad to see you are running this place proper!
